High-quality fakes now deceive buyers, retailers and customs authorities alike. Every one of them takes revenue from the brand and, worse, leaves a buyer with a diminished impression of a product the brand never made.
The OECD and EUIPO put counterfeit goods crossing borders at USD 467 billion — 2.3% of all world imports.
4.7% of everything imported into the European Union is counterfeit, concentrated in exactly the categories that trade on brand.
Digital product passports become mandatory for batteries in 2027, with the textile delegated act following and apparel landing around 2028.

Most platforms bind a database record to a serial number, which cloning the identifier defeats. Veritti binds the identity to the item itself. That is what cloning cannot defeat.
