Technology

The tag is meaningless. The binding is everything.

Veritti's tags hold almost nothing: a unique identity number and a small amount of metadata. All meaning lives in the association between that identity and item data held in the Veritti core — an association created only by recognised entities, at manufacture.

The tag is a pointer, not a document. It holds an ISO-standard number and enough metadata to open the app — nothing about the product, its origin or its owner. All of that sits in the core, written once at production by an entity the core recognises. Duplicating the number duplicates the pointer; it does not create the record the pointer has to resolve against.

Tag technology

Sealed into the item, not onto a label.

Anything a counterfeiter can cut off, they can move onto a fake. Veritti tags are inserted at the point of manufacture or applied into the material itself, so the tag lives and dies with the item. A brand may use its existing tag supplier, or Veritti can provide.

Any form factor

Tags come in various shapes, constructions and dimensions to suit the product — sewn into clothing labels, embedded in materials, or applied during distribution.

NFC, UHF or dual

NFC for consumer taps, UHF for bulk supply-chain reads, dual-frequency where a single item needs both. Memory capacity from minimal to substantial.

Minimal encoding

A tag carries an ISO-compliant identity number plus Veritti metadata for app launching. Product IDs and properties are not stored on the tag — they are associated centrally.

Two processes, and only two

Physical tag incorporation

The tag is embedded in or attached to the product, tailored to the brand and product specifics — sewn into a clothing label, sealed into a garment, or attached during distribution for categories such as spirits.

Identity association

The tag's unique identity number is linked to a product ID — a GTIN, SKU or MPN — in the Veritti core database. This can happen at tag production, at manufacture, or at both, in real time or in batch.

Anti-counterfeiting

RFID tags can be cloned. That is the starting assumption.

Veritti is built on the premise that the tag will be copied, and makes the copy commercially worthless. Four mechanisms do the work.

Data dissociation

Item data is never held on the tag. The tag is only a reference to centralised data, so copying it copies nothing of value.

Tag validation

A tag becomes valid only when it is associated with an item, during manufacture, by a recognised entity. An unassociated tag verifies as nothing.

Lifecycle tracking

Tags are tracked from manufacture through the supply chain to sale. A cloned tag mismatches on location, status or history the moment it is scanned.

Restricted ownership

Ownership transfers depend on core-generated codes available only through authorised software or the registered owner — so a fake cannot be resold as genuine.

And it cannot be resold as genuine: transfer needs a core-generated code, and the core issues none for a tag it has already accounted for.

Both tags carry the identical number. The clone fails not because the copy was poor, but because the core already holds one consistent life for that number — and two places at once is not a life it can hold. Every scan of the duplicate widens the contradiction and adds to an audit trail.

Integration

API-first, by design.

Every external interaction with the Veritti core can be performed through an API call. Partners integrate existing software directly, or develop their own against the same surface. Veritti also ships ready-to-use implementations — the web-based brand control panel and the manufacturer, binder and retailer applications — which drastically simplifies launch for a new brand.

The system is designed for flexibility across very different operations, from small manual runs to large automated production lines.

Catalogue

Your product hierarchy, kept as your own.

Brands structure catalogues differently — group, type, class, category, sub-category, line, item — with their own labels at each level. Veritti accommodates each brand's structure while mapping it to a standardised master hierarchy, so cross-brand analysis works without any brand having to change its internal systems.

  • Import and extract

Bring catalogues in by spreadsheet or CSV for automated or manual processing, and extract the existing structure with or without values.

  • Usage rules that protect circulated tags

Fields can be added, amended or deleted freely until a product ID is tag-associated. After that, most fields lock to preserve the integrity of tags already in the world.

  • Multiple catalogues

Brands running different structures by region or product line can maintain separate instances side by side.

  • Visibility control

Every attribute can be flagged for whether it appears to a customer on scan, so brands decide exactly what the public record shows.
